"While in class, Elizabeth has been eager participant in all aspects of our course work. She is organized and appreciates a fine level of detail when it comes to understanding the complexities of sequential training for a young string player. She attends to detail and values excellence at every level.

She is also able to balance this attention to detail with an understanding of the broader musical gestures and respects the role of expression and communication in the developing student. She truly values the innate worth and gifts of each child and has respect for the process of developing to one’s potential, regardless of how the child might compare to others. Elizabeth is very bright and articulate and processes information with ease.

This year Elizabeth has worked with one of my teenage students in the Preparatory. where she has observed lessons and given the student helper lessons on her own. She has been wonderful in this role, has made a positive and supportive relationship with this student, who is undergoing some emotional difficulties with her family, and is resourceful and proactive. She is easy to work with, is eager for feedback and takes suggestions with thought and appreciation, and I believe truly loves working with people.

While my experience with Elizabeth has been centered on teacher training, she is also a wonderful violinist. In addition to being a performer, she has the potential, with continued mentoring, to be a first rate teacher at any level.

I recommend her highly and without reservation. "
